Who are we?
The Ouseburn Den is a before and after school club operating under the ‘umbrella’ of Great Ouseburn Primary School. It is run by a Management Committee made up of school governors. Michelle Watkins - the den's Play Leader, with the support of Kirsty Drake - the den's Play Worker, take care of the day to day running of the club. |

|
Where are we?
The den is located in the school’s ‘Performing Arts Room’, attached to the main part of the school building.
Children also have the opportunity to make use of the school’s outside play area, which is supervised at all times.
|
|
What do we do?
A wide variety of activities are on offer including arts and crafts, traditional and modern board games, jigsaws and puzzles, construction activities, cookery sessions, internet access and outside play to keep the children busy. We are also lucky enough to have a Nintendo Wii! The ‘Chill out Zone’ also gives the children an opportunity to relax after a day at school, a place to sit and read, chat or listen to some music ………. and talking of music, we also have some disco and dance sessions from time to time! |
|

Playing 'Uno' - a very popular game with the children! |

The children enjoy a tasty and healthy snack at the start of each session

In order to make the den the best we can, it is imperative that the children’s interests are paramount. We are most definitely open to suggestions from both your child and yourself. It is also equally important that you are happy with the service we are providing. With this in mind, if you have any queries, or are just generally interested in what’s going on at ‘the den’, please feel free to pop in for a chat and a look round at any time or, alternatively, contact a member of the Management Committee.

Snacks

During every session the children will be offered a healthy snack. An example of a typical week's menu is shown below - please note that fruit juices and milk will be available during snack time and water will be available at all times.
If any children have any special dietary requirements, we are happy to work with you in order to cater for your child’s needs.
